Self piercing rivet or tubular rivet is one piece made of two parts: the cap and the shank (tube) manufactured separately and assembled with special machines. Manufactured from metal ribbon of different materials like iron, brass, stainless steel, and plated in several galvanic finishes also free nickel in the respect of ecosystem, special coating treatments such us total varnishing (popular), top lacquered (vemar), silk-screen printing, and special processing like laser cutting. Available in different measures, sizes, cap shapes: standard, sphere, cone, trapeze, round pyramid, square pyramid; and many shank (tube) lengths. Several models can be Customized (on the cap) with trade mark logo and/or design, such Customized items can be obtained either by standard molding production (contribution for the new printing dies and minimum order quantity required) or with special processing like serigraphy or laser cutting, in this case quantity required are much smaller. For riveting is intended the closure of two component by means of a rivet.
The so called “double rivet” is made up of two single parts: the cap (female) and the shank (male) manufactured separately, the shank is normally pinched on the upper part so to hold the cap before closure and can be open or closed (capped). The cap (female) is available in different sizes, cap shapes: standard, sphere, cone, trapeze, square pyramid; the shank (male) in different lengths either open or closed. For some special die-cast application we manufacture a special line of shank (male) not pinched, not holed and with hollow closed cap. We also manufacture model in brass material with long tubular shank (not pinched) open or closed. The correct length of the shank is very important to obtain correct closure with the cap.
Semi tubular and bifurcated rivet are produced by wire cold forming using wire with diameter from mm 2 to mm 14, in iron raw or zinc plated. Mostly produced on demand from technical drawing. These rivets are very solid and used for industrial technical items where a strong closure is required.
